This weekend, Friday (10/13) through Sunday (10/15), DailyDrip is holding a hackathon to help people get in Pull Requests for DigitalOcean's Hacktoberfest. If you'd like to sign up for it, you can do so here.
We'll organize in the DailyDrip Slack community. If you're not already in our Slack, you can join here.
You can come in with an idea on what Pull Requests you'd like to create ahead of time, or we're glad to spitball ideas with you. We figure some people will form groups and work together and some people will choose to work alone but occasionally ask for help. We're around to help move things forward, review your Pull Requests to help them be the best they can be, or just generally serve as rubber ducks.
I will most likely be working on Firestorm when I'm not helping other people, but I'd love to contribute to some other projects as well. It'd be great to work on some Elm things too.
If you know someone who would like to hack this weekend with a bunch of people (we already have 56 people signed up!), share this post with them and badger them into making Open Source Software better!
Thanks, and I'm really looking forward to it.
NOTE: We (Josh, Adam, and Matt) prepare the Weekly Drip every Friday from around 11AM CST to 1PM CST. We'll all be in Slack the whole time but the three of us will be a bit indisposed for those 2 hours. Franzé will be available to help even when we're busy with that.
